The project has investigated the current situation of 9 domestic waste plastic recycling factories, and has prepared an inventory data table for life cycle assessment.This study are planning to visit three other waste plastic recycling companies in the future. The LCA results will be combined with the Material Circularity Indicator (MCI) to be used in the audit and verification of waste PET. The process of Life Cycle Assessment and Product Category Rule (PCR) will follow the ISO14040 series and ISO14027 standard. The suggestions from stakeholders such as producer and recycler will be adopted to formulate the PCR. The result of PCR could be a guideline for the classification of recycled waste plastic containers. In the establishment of this system, we refer to the international and advanced procedures for the certification and verification system such as Blue Angel from Germany, the EuCertPlast and Recycling Claim Standards, etc. Building a domestic standard and verification system to solve the problem of recycled waste plastic containers is the purpose of this project.
